I find that most potential clients are looking just for the low-end cost design, don't think about strategy, all think social marketing is free and I can't seem to get those clients to find me. One thing I think doesn't really help, is to join networking groups with professionals in your own field. Everyone's really not open to sharing as much as you think they might be; you're better off networking with people who may want to hire you. I'm glad to see consulting is a high growth area; I just can't seem to figure out how to connect with the potential clients as well as I'd like to. Guess that's the plan in 2010.
